We invite you to both enjoy this exceptional scientific event and get to know Valencia, a wonderful Mediterranean city. During your stay you will visit a heartleft and lively city with historical and modern architecture and monuments, nice beaches, one of the largest European aquaria, while enjoying a cosmopolitan Mediterranean lifestyle and great gastronomy experiences.

In the scientific program we would like to include the diversity of approaches and research fields in fish parasitology, with a special interest on the “New Challenges in Fish Parasitology” facing us for the next years:

  • Parasite diversity and development of techniques for taxonomic and phylogenetic analyses.
  • Biology of parasites and host-parasite interactions.
  • Parasites as pathogens in aquaculture and wild ecosystems.
  • Use of parasites as bioindicators of ecosystems and fish stocks.
  • Impact of global changes and human activities on fish and their parasites in different earth regions.

We are designing a scientific program that will include conferences from prestigious invited speakers, oral presentations and poster sessions to promote debates. Best student presentations will be awarded. We would also like to host workshops based on your suggestions.
Please, keep visiting this web page to follow the progress, new details and news.
We look forward to seeing you at the 9th ISFP in Valencia 2015!
